We only spent one night here and that was enough for us. The park is in a quiet setting but not far from the interstate, which was nice. The piece of property is large, lightly wooded with lots of open space. Roads and sites are gravel neither are well groomed or level, depends on the site. There are many, many full time residents here, lots of trailers and fifth wheels that look like they haven't moved in years. Lots of "stuff" around them. For a site here, with no sewer hookup for $40, I'd rather stay at a Wal-Mart. We will not return here.

This is a convenient overnight stopover, not much more. It is an old campground, with narrow paved roads and small sites. They have somehow figured out how to add a few pull through sites, but the layout is kind of crazy. You have to go out of the park, turn around and then come back in to pull onto some grass with full hookups. They are definitely not easy in and easy out, but they are pull throughs. You mostly park on the grass and have to go the wrong way on their roads to get in or out. The workkamper who helped park us was very nice and the park was not busy when we were here. You get what you pay for: a pull through, close to the interstate with full hookups. Nothing fancy, but it worked. They charge up to $100 a night here during major races at the speedway which is right down the street. I'd look elsewhere at that price no matter how close it is to the Daytona Speedway. We camped here in a big rig, it might work out better for smaller rigs.

This campground got several awards when it was new in the early 2000's, I'm not sure for what. First it is expensive for what you get. They charge extra for everything: $2 per hour if you check in before 3pm, and $5 for a guest to even come to your site to have a cup of coffee. We had a new motorhome and had friends in the area, if we wanted to bring them into the park, even for a few minutes there was a $10 charge. Overnight fees are $10 for each adult and $5 for children. There is a $10 fee (in cash) at check-in for your key card to get in and out the gate. And only one car per site: we are in the middle of moving and have two cars, which would have easily fit in our parking space, but I had to park it in an unsecure area out by the highway, at least 1/4 mile from our site. Not fun in the rain or at night. There are a few lights by the office, otherwise the parking lots and campground are dark. There is a sign in the office that sets the tone, "If you don't like the rules, buy the campground and make your own rules!" There are lots and lots of rules and they enforce every one. I felt like I was in a prison camp and could not wait to leave. In September the place is all but deserted: lots of empty rigs of the seasonals, just a few of us actually staying in our rigs. I will look for a campground in Mystic next time we come to the area. And by the way: don't let the name fool you, it isn't very close to the casino's either.

This is a nice smaller family owned campground north of Nashville. The staff was very cordial and helpful. When we did not care for the site we were assigned (a pull in close to the road) we were offered two other sites, both met our needs better. The sites are large, with gravel parking and grass between sites. The pool looked very nice and there is a playground with older equipment for the children. There is some highway noise as I-65 is close by. There are also many permanent residents but their sites were well kept. Roads were paved and in good condition and lawn areas were mowed. The park is pet friendly and offers a small fenced area for off leash. They also provide pick up bags throughout the park. We would stay here again.

This is a very nice KOA: well kept, friendly and with helpful staff. It is close to I-81 but is set way back so there is no highway noise. The campground is set on a hill, wooded with many terraced sites. The main road into the campground is wide and paved, interior roads are gravel and are a bit narrow in some spots and it is hilly. Although we liked the campground very much, we did not like our site. We have a big rig and they did give us a pull through but it was at the top of the hill, behind the office. It was a multi-level site, we had steps from our parking space to our picnic table and fire ring! There was barely a spot to put your foot on the ground when you stepped out of the rig before there was a steep hill down. So, if you go in with anything over 40' with toad, ask for one of the pull-throughs across from the office, they are much nicer. The park is pet friendly, lots of places to walk, even a little nature trail. There is a large open field near the group camping area which was vacant when we were there, so we had some nice off leash time with the frisbee. Don't miss visiting the town of Lexington which is nearby, it is a beautiful colonial town. We would stay here again.

There are two sections to this campground, the older "west resort" and the new "east resort". We stayed in the newer section, all pull throughs, very open, nice views of the hillsides. There are no bath facilities in the new section, but we never use them so it was not a problem for us. Sites are nice and wide, gravel parking and roads, large grassy area's between sites. There is no shade. Each site has a gravel patio area with a table and brand new grill. We were quite happy and comfortable there. The older section of the park has pull-throughs as well as back-in sites and cabins. There are quite a few permanent residents here and some of the sites were looking like they needed a facelift. Other sites were fine. They are dog friendly, with a fenced pet area as well as some large open fields for the dogs to run in. If you are travelling in a large motorhome I would recommend the new section, any site would work, but there are plenty of sites in the older section that would work as well. It was also very quiet here at night. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a very nice RV "resort" type campground. It just opened this season. All paved roads, although a bit narrow, paved sites are wide with nice patio area, picnic table and fire ring. There are nice grass areas between sites with plenty of room between you and your neighbor. The park is meticulously maintained. Pull through sites are a bit short and it would not be possible to leave a toad hooked up to a big rig. Excellent Wi-Fi and cable TV, a great pool with water features for the kids. They are pet friendly with plenty of open areas to walk dogs, we even found a beautiful mowed grass field behind the hotel across the street to play some frisbee with our dog. The location of this park is great: it is 5 minutes to all of the attractions in Pigeon Forge but it is set on a quiet street, away from all of the traffic and noise. It is a bit pricey for the area, but the quiet setting was worth it to us. We would definitely stay here again.

This campground is a gem! It is located less than 10 minutes from all of the activities in Pigeon Forge but it is set on a quiet country road with almost no traffic. It was a treat for us because since we own a big rig we are not often able to camp along a beautiful creek and hear nothing but the creek, the birds and the crickets! We even slept with the windows open, it was great! The access to the park is easy, the sites are very large, long and wide, mostly back in. Interior roads and parking is gravel and each site has a huge concrete with inlaid stone patio, picnic table and fire ring. All sites were full hookups. Great W-Fi and cable TV. The owners of the park were friendly and helpful, stopping by after we were all settled to see if we needed anything and suggested areas of Smokey Mountain National Park that we should see and the best way to get there, avoiding the traffic. Landscaping is very nice with lots of grassy area between sites as well as around the park. The park is dog friendly, our shelties enjoyed their walk every morning along the creek. I should note that the bath house and laundry facilities are not complete yet. Since we always use our own shower and laundry on board it was not a problem for us. I wish we could have stayed at this wonderful park longer and I am sure we will return on our next trip to the Smoky Mountains. If I could give this park more than a 10, I would!

This campground is set way back off the road and is a nice quiet spot. It is a little hard to find since there is no large sign, but once you get into the campground it is very nice. Sites have a good distance between them, which is unusual for pull-throughs. Full hook ups, big picnic table, no fire rings, grassy areas with irrigation at every site. Roads are gravel and a bit dusty, sites have a paved parking pad and were easy in and out. There is a nice 3/4 mile trail around the lake and there are lots of activities for children. They are dog friendly, plenty of places to walk the dogs, we even played ball with our three shelties on their athletic field every day. The park is less than an hour to Rocky Mountain National Park and just a few minutes to Poudre Canyon. We would stay there again.

This is a very large campground with a variety of different sites. Roads and sites are gravel. The RV sites with full hookups are closest to I-25. When we arrived we were put in a site right next to the interstate with major power lines right overhead. Probably one of the worst sites in the park. They did move us when we complained: about 4 rows in where you could still hear the highway, but not as bad. The sites have minimal landscaping and very little grass. You can pay extra for a patio site. They are dog friendly, with a fenced dog run as well as plenty of open space near the back of the park for a game of ball or frisbee. Workers in the park were friendly and helpful. I thought the park was expensive for what was offered, and would probably look to stay somewhere else if we are in the Colorado Springs area again.

There are not many choices of parks for big rigs in the Golden area. Dakota Ridge was nice, sites were "buddy" sites with front doors of the rigs facing, but we did not mind that. There is grass between sites, not as nice as the immaculate landscaping they advertise but there is grass. Our site was on a hill and a large section of the grass was dead and our picnic table had no flat area to sit so we could not use it. Our site was in a quiet area of the park and we were happy with the location. My problem with this park is they charge extra for everything, $3 per night for 50 amps, $2 for cable and $1 each for dogs. We paid for the 50 amps and the fee for each of our three dogs. There is nowhere to exercise or potty the dogs. They offered a small area on the side of a hill with some stone down as a "dog walk" and another strip of mostly dirt on the other side of the park. There are signs everywhere to keep off the grass or don't walk your dog here. So, it was very expensive for what you get. I doubt I would return there again.

This is a great place to stay. The staff was helpful and courteous and changed our site from one of the large, open sites (no landscaping) in the new section, to a beautiful site with grass on each side and small trees. The site was shorter than the big-rig sites in the new section but we were able to unhook the car and park it along the road in front of our site. There is a little highway noise, but not bad at all: the park is set back from the highway access road. They are very dog friendly with a shaded, grassy, fenced area for pets in the middle of the park and another large, sandy off-leash area on the side of the park where you could easily play ball or frisbee with a larger dog. They provide pick-up bags and trash cans at both locations. They offer a complimentary continental breakfast of toast, bagels, cereal, milk, coffee and juice which was very nice. I would recommend this very nice, neat and clean park. Just let the staff know what kind of site you prefer: treed, grassy, gravel or open and I am sure you will have a pleasant stay.

This campground is the only one we could find along I-40 in Oklahoma City and it was a big disappointment. The sites are all gravel with a few islands of grass. Our picnic table hung over our neighbor's sewer connection and the site was not wide enough for us to open our awning. There are lots of permanent residents. We did not use the pool or restrooms. We have been on the road for seven months and this is one of the worst campgrounds we stayed in. We would not come here again.

This is a no frills kind of campground on the Wyoming/Colorado border. Landscape is very open, roads and sites are gravel. Lots of bison and other animals to view. Store carries basic items. Very pet friendly.

We do not often get to camp in state or federal campgrounds because we have a large motorhome, but Colter Bay RV Park has sites that will accommodate big rigs! The sites are gravel, full hookups and picnic tables. No fire rings. A great way to experience the Tetons. Store, gift shop, laundry, marina, Jackson Lake and all of the beautiful Teton views were within walking distance. We will come back here again.

We called almost a week in advance for a 50 amp pull thru site. They said they only had 30 amps available but would note 50 amps and if anything changed they would change our site. We arrived early in the afternoon and were given a 30 amp site and told no 50's were available. Then people came in after us with no reservations and got 50 amp sites. We had no picnic table, no fire ring. The grass was not well cared for in most of the sites. The only good thing I can say about this park is they did have plenty of space to walk pets as well as a small designated dog walk area which had nicer grass than our site. It is just about the worst park we have stayed in during our six months on the road. There is also a fertilizer factory across the street.

We liked this resort so much we added a couple more days. This resort is extremely well run and managed. It is spotlessly clean everywhere. The sites paved and level and are power washed. There is nice grass and a picnic table for each site. It is a new park so the trees are not mature, so there is no shade. The park is gated. Beautiful pool and access to a city owned biking and walking trail right from the park. Lots of beautifully maintained landscaping and lawn. The owner's were friendly and very helpful during our stay, even delivered a package right to our door. They are very pet friendly. We will stay here again.
